fish out of water

We took a ride to the Turkey Dinner/ Benefit yesterday put on by a local club and I can honestly say, I felt pretty out of place.

 Everyone was friendly and the food and music were fantastic ,but being just about the only single patch club made for an out of place feel . There were a lot of colors there and everyone seems to know everyone else .not only did I not know anyone except those I rode in with, but I hadn't heard of quite a few of the clubs . I understand not knowing the ones from Massachusetts, but there were a lot from Connecticut I had never heard of. I truthfully wish we had more contact with these clubs so we know who is who and we could actually shoot the shit with them without feeling like new kids on the block, after all,we have been around since 1939.
