As a matter of fact it stayed in my basement until a year ago 

when it was finally scrapped.

My Grandmother used one of these for the Laundry...

 Then my grandfather bought the new fangeled Gasoline model

How about Radios...

Of course if you had money you could afford a stereo console
(Home entertainment systems were a thing of the future)

How about televisions

And if you ever looked in the back you saw...

If you had money, it was as if you didn't want anyone to know you had a television, so they made a place to hide it...

how did cable TV work back then, well to start with, there was no cable, there was a whirring noise on the roof...

and a humming ka-clunking noise inside the house

With all this great technology, what about telephones...

how about early "personal electronics" 

Sure we had I-pods we called them transistor radios.

phones, sure we had carry phones...if you wanted to carry them

The truly portable phone came along later

You know what's really ...
