I was getting ready to visit a Club member who was having a Labor day thing today, I knew it was supposed to rain but I was hoping I would beat the storm. I don't mind riding home in the rain, you can change when you get there. Getting soaked on your way somewhere, not so agreeable, there's squishiness and chaffing and I don't prefer either. Any way I stepped out the door as it started to rain, OK, I'll wait a few before I leave, showers aren't bad, but I did hope I wouldn't have to deal with a thunderstorm until I was housebound. As i turned to go in I noticed my black cat laying under a bush. Knowing what was to come I walked over, picked her up and brought her in the house. She has been staying outside lately because we have been invaded by a kitten, she is not at all receptive to this fact. So I brought her in and she headed for high ground, (the kitten can't achieve altitude yet). I went about posting the earlier story until the rain stopped. And then..it happened...a clap of thunder. In a heartbeat I had a kitten sitting at my feat looking around trying to figure out what the noise had been. The big one jumped down and came around the corner to go upstairs (she likes my bed in thunderstorms). As she rounded the corner she came nose to nose with her Nemesis...growling and hissing ensued. the kitten moved towards her (dumb kitten), she reared back ready to attack when....a house shaking (literally) thunder clap resounded....in flash three things happened, I lost broadband connection, it started pouring, and two cats had magically disappeared. About this time the rain started, now two more things happened, I have never seen my street moving before, usually the rain runs down the side of the street not the entire street and I decided the car would probably be the choice of transport for the day.
