New Computer Program at work

We have for the last 25 or so years used a program at work that works well, the programs by another company, not so well. So....how do you fix this, you drop both programs an go with a completely new system, from the ground up. The problem is, the original "working" system was fast and easy to use, the new one is based on a Windows Excel type program. Now instead of just entering a screen number and typing the information in, copying and pasting where necessary, the new system is drop menus and F keys. Return keys which used to continue and finish everything now just enter an item, then you have to F key it to add it, and F key it to save it. The old system you could cut and paste anything you wanted the new system requires a snipping tool. As far as speed and ease goes, everything now takes longer to do.

It sort of feels like we were using a MAC computer and we upgraded...

to a Commodore 64.
