Tree showed up on a Goldwing, I pulled Jenny out and told her to take Charlene, we took a short ride,(it's all I do lately) down around Mystic, stopping at the Diner for the nastiest Cheese cake I have ever had, Pumpkin Cheesecake. It was overly pumpkin, with what appeared to be crumbled Heath bar on the outside and served with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. Can you ask for a little extra sugar please. I have to say, I really had no idea how nice Charlene sounds, She cranked up the throttle at 27 and 184 and let the clutch fly, that bike has a nice growl to it on throttle.
Saturday I woke up, watched Formula 1 qualifying, then headed down to Mystic on Jenny for breakfast before picking up the cage and heading over to watch the making of the Clubs Riding Safety videos. Watching turned into filming, as Tom had the riders go through certain maneuvers as he narrated. We filmed chapter 1 and a partial on chapter 2 before calling it an early day. Tom wants to go over the footage and see how it looks, what it may need, sound quality, camera angles, etc, (check the dailys).
From the Club I headed over to Ninos, Picked up a Large Greek Pizza, an order of Garlic Bread, and an order of Pollo Napelatano with Ziti. I headed up the road, stopped at Two Brothers in Westchester to pick up a six of Michelob, a bottle of Jack Honey and a bottle of a Dry Red wine from Italy, before continuing to the cabin. Natalie had been busy painting and now it was time to either watch her work (something I never get tired of) or have dinner, She opted to have diner. We moved out to the deck to enjoy the meal and watch the sun disappear over the lake. Then a camp fire down below, peep frogs, kadydids and the stars, it was a nice evening. Natalie awoke in the morning and discovered it is best to close up your jeep before bed when there are rain storms coming through.
I awoke on Sunday a little late having missed the Formula One race, but I took Jenny out and spent most of the day avoiding working on the house.
Chloe called it a night early and went out on the dock to sleep. |
