Stranded, cared for, released, stranded...

A sea lion pup nicknamed "Rubbish" was stranded and cared for then when it was healthy it was released. That sea lion pup was spotted crossing a boulevard in San Francisco. Police and veterinarians rescued the pup again. It is suffering form malnutrition and an infection.

Experts are saying record numbers of sea lions are being found stranded. They believe it has to do with ocean temperatures changing. Fish are staying out further and deeper for the colder waters, parents have to be away longer to bring back food. The starving young are leaving their homes before their parents get back in search of food.
