MORE GOOD TURNS TO SH_T

Do you remember that place in New England? It was that coffee place that made fresh donuts, remember them? Remember the ads, "It's time to make the donuts". That was back when each store "made the donuts", not any more...Now it's all trucked in from a central bakery. that shouldn't matter though, right? I mean same donuts, aren't they?

You tell me, they used to have the "Dunking" donut, it had a tab on it.

There were no plain donuts, the other donut was the "Old Fashioned". The Old Fashioned was round but had ridges and cooked up with crispy edges.

Today's donuts seem more like what you would expect from a truck delivered fast food product, like it was squished out of a tube into a form.

And what ever happened to...the Cruller? Plain or glazed, it had taste, it had style...

It has become the stick (sounds yummy, like it has a lot of fiber)

At least they still taste pretty good, the "plain stick" at least tastes and has the texture of the Old fashioned.
