Remember a while back I made a Krampus post?

The legend goes that Saint Nicholas takes care of all the good little girls and boys. In this Country St Nick became Santa Claus. When little children are good Santa Claus brings them Gifts, when they are bad, Santa Claus brings them coal.

Well originally, there was no coal, there was no Santa Claus, there was Saint Nicholas. Saint Nicholas rewarded the good, Saint Nicholas did not deal with the bad and naughty, you see St. Nick had a darker side, his shadow side, it's name was Krampus.

Krampus did not bring bad little boys and girls coal, Krampus punished bad little boys and girls and even took them away.

The card reads, "greetings from Krampus!"
Imagine you are a little kid and somewhere around July you get a card in the mail, how well behaved are you going to be for the rest of the year?

People held ceremonies and honored both Saint Nicholas and Krampus.

Now, which do you think would work better keeping little children well behaved, the threat of getting a black rock instead of toys   or    

Meeting and dealing with Krampus?

Well...someone in Hollywood finally heard about Krampus, so...
