Pix, of the day

It was actually a pretty good day, we started early enough, went up back roads through Old Mystic  Ledyard, North Stonington,  201, Northwest Corner Road, 164, 138, 201 again, then just before we got to Joe's area we made a turn down a dead-end road, I made a u-turn, Pancake made half a u-turn and then sort of a crunching thud, grunt, Ugg sound. I looked in the mirror in time to see the body barrel roll after the initial impact.

The important thing is he walked away from it, OK we picked the bike up and rode away from it. Cruising back down 201 he mentioned his elbow was wet, so we pulled off to look. He had a little hole in his arm and and a bunged up finger. The blood took forever to stop flowing.

This was actually pretty cool, because first...he wasn't hurt, and second, the ride changed directions. We ended up in the middle of Jewett City where we found they have a diner named after my bike.

Talking to the Insurance Company...Again
From there we just took back roads down through Versailles, and made a stop at Indian Leap in Norwich, then stopped at Dunkin in Montville and then I led him to Danny's so he could have a laugh.

Hey...It's what friends do.

He said it was all our fault because we told him we wouldn't ride it until after he put in the first scratch.

Well, he scratched it.

I'm not gonna ride it now, looks like shit.

First Aid Applied...
