I heard that sound again last night.

I was standing in front of the clubhouse talking to Dave when the sound occurred, It was that ,as Tom describes it, the sound of a empty beer can lying on asphalt getting hit by a piece of wood sound.  To me it just sounded like old times. It was that Evert sound. The sound that is produced by driving an Electra Glide into the ground.

Welcome back Ev, I've missed seeing you around.

To be totally honest, Tom makes the best Grounded Glide sounds, you see Tom and Harley Davidson are inseparable, Tom is a never give up, never say die type of rider, this means that he holds that belief that to get out of a desperate situation you need more throttle, drive your self out of trouble. Sort of a Tim Allen "More Power" philosophy. The trouble is, it doesn't always work. This means when Tom goes down there usually isn't any foot flopping on the pavement sound beforehand. It's usually more throttle, feet planted on the boards until the bike is digging its way through the first inch or so of pavement at which time Tom rolls or steps off the crash.
