Lun Ekranoplan

The word Lun is Russia is roughly equivalent to Harrier. The "Caspian Sea Monster" Lun Ekranoplan, development started in the early 60's and has been through many modifications,. originally designed as a military high speed transport, to skim across the oceans, it has been dropped and restarted many times. There were reports that, due to the economy, no further development was planned, but a later report said that Russia may go back to working on it to create jobs.
