The Club met at Dunkin for the 10am AOB to Gengras Harley Davidson in East Hartford Ct. Turn out was a tad light, with Dave Leading, he had a total of eight bikes. We headed up 163 to 82 to 354 into Colchester where we met another bike. Dave took route 2 all the way in. The meet at exit 5 never happened but we did meet two more members at Gengras. Tom Y was having an issue with his rear brakes, the issue was there wasn't any.
The turn out for the event followed suit, perhaps the threat of riding in the chilly weather kept a lot of people away, because the turn out was extremely light.
I paid my admission for the ride, bought some items at Gengras, and then left with Mister Scarrit to see what Cycle Gear in Vernon had on hand. I picked up a balaclava and two bags for Jenny. Done at Cycle gear we headed to Reins for some excellent grunts before taking 85 home.
For anyone in need of warm gear for riding, Cycle Gear on route 30 has electric jackets with controllers for $150.00, they also have the pants and glove liners. The store also has thermal riding wear in mens and womens, plus the usual supply of helmets, chaps, jackets, vests, mirrors, cameras, boots, tools, bags, lighting, etc, etc
I don't really like all the crap you have to put on when the weather gets cold, but I love to ride, so, we do what we must.
