BANG BANG WWII German Assault rifle

The final assault rifle of the German Wermacht in WWII was the StG 44, MP44, or Sturmgewehr 44. Arguably their most advanced assault rifle was roughly based on the Russian AK47.

StG44 was an abbreviation for "Sturmgewehr 44" = Assault Rifle 44. The two digits on the end of German weapons represented the year the units were designed. So 1944.
This was a selective fire weapon and while extremely accurate as a single shot weapon, the recoil when on automatic kept the user busy trying to stay on target.

With Scope, Black Spot light and powerpack

The weapon was well made and saw service well after the war by the East German Border Police into the 1960s.

The weapon continued to see service through the 1960s in places like Africa

Yugoslavia used the weapon into the 1970's
