EE Route change

Before I tell you about the route change let me explain Pancake to you. Your VP started planning this trip using "My Scenic Rides" Website, back last year, I believe it was the week after we got back from last years ride. Since that time he has printed out the route or told us to check out the route on the site many many....many times. Each time he looked at it he changed something. At this moment there are three plans for the trip on the site one is called "Labor Day 2016 Alternate route", that is not the one they are using, That one was written on August 22nd and was finalized on Aug 29nd. There is another one on the site called "Labor Day 2016 Final", which he started on July 19 and finished on August 22nd, which is the same day he started the alternate. Now the word "final" should give you a hint as to how many times he changed the route before July. The Last one is called Labor day 2016 Alternate route. That one is started on August 29th and finished on August 31st, That would be the night before they left. So if you ever plan a trip with Doug, just let him co-ordinate the trip and the day you are going ...just follow him.

Now, Tonight they should be staying just south of Roanoke Virginia on the Blue Ridge as I stated in the last post, but, Doug has GPS on his Harley, so...they are no longer on the Blue Ridge they got off that in Roanoke onto route 5 which jumped them on 81 south. Which they took with plans to take 77 south to 40 bypassing the lower Blue Ridge.

But, because of their change they are further down the line in Cove Creek off 77 for the night.

Tomorrow they should be heading back east to grab 77 south then route 40 across to the Tail of the Dragon and the mini Dragon or Tennessee Dragon.
I say should but tomorrow is tomorrow and Doug has nine hours roughly between now and then to rethink the plan.
