Lathes and Milling machines can produce some fantastic work

But they can also cause some horrific results if something goes wrong. 

This is why they tell you during operation of machinery:

Do not wear a watch or rings when working with machinery.

Make sure you have tight fitting clothes, nothing hanging loose which can get caught by moving machinery or product.
