Neander Motorcycles genius then and now

In 1926 a man named Ernst Neumann-Neander created the Neander Motorfahrzung GmbH Duren-Rolsdorf in Duren Germany. He designed the Neander-Rahman (Neander frame), which was made from box section Duralumin. (an alloy of aluminum with traces of copper, magnesium, and or manganese).

This new design afforded the introduction of a unique pivoted front fork section. from 1928 on Opel manufactured the same frame under licence and it was very successful in racing.

Neander's factory produced roughly 2000 bikes end of production in the 30's

More recently a new German Company had arrived on the scene, Neander AG.

The new company has started production on a diesel powered motorcycle. A new crank design has created a smooth running engine allowing the power plants use in motorcycles, ATV's and outboard motors.

They've come quite a way....
