The Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant (IZHMASH) is a weapons and motor vehicle builder. The company was founded in 1807 at Tsar Alexander I's decree. It is now one of the worlds largest weapons mfgrs. Among the other items the company builds are cars, medium cannons, shells, missiles, and Kalashnikov assault rifles

In 2013 after bankruptcy was declared, the company was merged with Izhmash Mechanical to become Kalashnikov Concern
