Sort of a re-post but not

Below are some photos I put on beardinthewind.blogspot.com  when I wrote that blog, that was after Ron Durand Started that blog in lieu of the Newsletter and before I gave it over to Vincent Sileo and way before it became a rather dormant blog.

I posted this as a how to install the Harley Accessory and why it didn't work correctly if the bike had a CB added.

But I show it here as a note for safety...

The Rear bag Guards

I want to say that the items you must take off are few, side covers, bags, seat, and original bag brackets.

Plus the new set goes together and on really easy...

The issue was made at the time that the new supports have built on brackets which are in the way of the Radio mount. The Radio or CB mount is made one direction and will not reverse for use on the opposite side of the bike.

Anyway..the reason for the re-post is to advise you of the use of these bars. They are not actually crash safe. yes they do absorb some of the impact and may protect you leg but they do bend.
Since they bend and can damage the bags doing so, don't buy them to protect the bags, your leg perhaps, not the bags.

I found that the best thing about these bars, is that when you are playing on the bike maneuvering through cones and such...they do give you an extra hand hold to help lift the bike back up after you step off it.
