I had a funny encounter at work today. One of my Co-workers asked what I was doing on the two days off I had this week. I told her I did nothing and that I was home sick. She gave me a dubious look. It was a look that suggested I might be lying about being ill. She said, "you shouldn't post in the blog when you are suppose to be home sick". Now I was dumbfounded. Post? All I could remember posting was that sandwich borrowed my bike last night. Then she said it. She said, what about the Shady Glen? I had forgotten I posted photos. So I explained to her that those photos were not current, they were just older photos I threw on the blog.
It is nice to know people out there are reading this. And I can tell you...I really miss stopping at the Shady Glen, Hooters, or Cove Fish Market (to get steamers for Bub). And just riding everyday with Rick. I wish we all had a lot more rides together. But life is what it is...and if I get this arm and leg back on line I will be grabbing newer friends to take along on day long rides to nowhere. Rides for no other reason than the ride. Rides where lunch is not the destination, it's just something you interrupt the ride for as you cruise along. Where are the best rides to? Home. What matters is where you went between the time you left and the time you got back.
