The problem is, they are a tad expensive, and I would probably have to steal one out of a museum. But, What I did get was an Iver Johnson 32, Let me explain, simply put, or pasted...
Iver Johnson was a U.S. firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1871 to 1993 (Motorcycles were short lived)
I have not been into bicycles since I was younger, so...a gun, the 32.
Iver Johnson has been around a while so they have created a few models (both guns and bicycles)
Myself, as I said, purchased a 32.
For a little comparison, I've taken a couple photos referencing the 32 against a 38.
I was just reading a book about the Rutland Railroad (Vermont) and they mentioned Iver Johnson in Fitchburg Mass. (You would have to read it to understand why they have Fitchburg Mass in a book about a Railroad in Vermont, or... I suppose I could tell you, but, I don't actually remember the exact reason, Investments, or thinking of the future)
Anyway..
Back about 1977 there was a gentleman (true story), this is all true so I don't know why I typed that, as I was saying (by typing)...in 1977 a person was feeling very depressed, so, sitting in his car in front of the Chart-room (a restaurant that sat between Stop and Shop and Lees in Groton, by the UA Theater. Of course this was before Stop and Shop moved to rte 184 and Lees to the other end of the shopping center. Being depressed he decided his life sucked so he put a 38 in his mouth and pulled the trigger, made a mess. But the point is, it didn't kill him, the bullet struck the bone plate at the top of his mouth and turned right, blowing out the top of his mouth, his teeth, and his face on the right side. So now he was depressed and in the hospital, and going to spend some time in Norwich (mental facility back then), being more depressed and uglier.
There was a movie....trust me...this all does fit....there was a movie called My Blue Heaven, with Steve Martin as a Mob informer placed under protective custody. He explains that wise-guys love the 22, it goes in and rattles around, doesn't make a mess. He goes on to say he never handled a gun which always confined him to middle management, later he grabs a gun from a cop and shoots the guns out of two hitmen's hands, Rick Moranis (FBI) say's, "I thought you said..." and Steve Martin says, "I lied".
Did I mention it was a comedy?
Anyway... You have a guy who puts a 38 in his mouth and lives, and according to that Railroad book, an Iver Johnson 32 is the weapon type that "deliver the fatal bullets to President William McKinley in 1901".
So, maybe Steve was right, you need a smaller caliber, it needs to rattle a bit.
Anyway, Can't afford the Motorcyle, but I have a McKinley Model hand gun.
