The Blessing at the Beach had a added feature this year

Sometime around 11am or so a wind event occurred, some say tornado, others say wind shear. Reports followed that there were tents flying through the air, tables knocked over, and people running for cover. Other than that it was business as normal.

The turnout was lighter than normal, around 300 non member bikes. It may have had to do with the fact that the temperature was hovering around 41 degrees, It could have been that people are scurrying to pay their income taxes this year, or it could have been a lack of public awareness, I talked to a few friends and they said they had seen no flyers or heard any radio announcements. I know there was some, well...there was at least one, it was on a Hammond Law commercial, "If you go down, we'll pick you up".

Maybe they should have been at the park during the Hurricane/ Tornado/ micro burst.
