A stretched out Buffet table.
There will be that light buzzing noise in your ears followed by a landing.
It will seen innocent at first, just a summer insect taking a break, then the hypodermic needle will be inserted..
If it drinks too much before you see it it may even pop a safety valve.
It will fly away, leaving you to the hypnotic swirling lights of it's brothers in the darkness, with nothing to remember it's visit by except for the burn and itch.
Hopefully that will be the end of it before the next one lands, and with any luck they haven't left behind any lasting memories, like, Eastern Equine encephalitis, West Nile, or bird flu.
Summer, who could ask for anything more?
