Saturday and a great food deal

On Saturday I attended a funeral, which I closed up shop to attend. After the service I was starving so I headed to the diner. I sat in my reserved seat at the counter next to a Biker. We were discussing ride destinations when the waitress came over and took my order, American Cheese Mushroom burger, medium well, with the pickle, hold the fries and slaw, an order of Chili, and an iced tea. We went back to talking. The runner from the kitchen came over and brought my chili and tea which I polished off fairly quickly. The burger showed up and while it had no slaw, it did have fries, this was no surprise as it happens often. I asked for a plate to move the fries to. The waitress was upset because she knew she had put the order in correctly but still the fries had arrived. I cut the burger in half and noticed no mushrooms. The waitress went to find out what was going on. She came back out and said they had given me the wrong order. Having already cut the burger in half I told her not to worry about it, she went back in the kitchen. A few bites into the burger and she came back with my correct order, and for some reason two side dishes of dill pickles to go with the pickles that already came on the burger plates. I told her I was fine with what I had already, she said, "Well this is yours at no charge". I told her I wasn't going to eat it. I talked the Florida biker into having it since I was not going to doggy bag it.

After about 20 minutes of discussing bikes and riding and finishing my food, the Florida Biker asked since everyone knew me, did I really like the food there. I told him, the food is OK but I really go there for the people. He agreed that the food was nothing to jump up and down about. The waitress heard this and told him that I am only there because I liked the people. I told her that that was the main reason but the food wasn't bad, she said again that the food didn't matter I was there because of them. I told her, "I have news for you, the food does matter, I don't care how great the people are, if the Food was horrible I wouldn't eat here". I Turned to the Biker and said, "But where else can you get a cheeseburger, a mushroom cheeseburger, an order of fries, a chili, four orders of dill pickles (12 pickles), and an Iced tea for $18.00".

The waitress responded, "You are such a jerk".
