It's probably a good thing the world is round

A short time ago, people believed that man was the center of the universe, they also believed the world was at the center of the universe and everything else revolved around it. They believed that the world was flat and if you sailed far enough you would fall off the edge.

As time went on,  theories were formed, chances taken, discoveries made and with it, knowledge obtained.

We know that the world is not flat, we are not the center of the universe and that everything in space is revolving around something else.

This knowledge is good, because as in the words of  the Firesign Theater Comedy troop, "If the World were flat...All the Chinese  would fall off".

Who would we borrow money from
