Another area to stay extremely alert is anywhere within anything concerned with Casinos. Traveling north on route 395 at exit 79A, (route 2A) to casino. there are skid marks going from the passing lane, across the slow lane, into the dirt, through the exit 79A sign and ending on the ramp. Was this a last moments turn so as not to miss the casino exit?
I mention that because people riding to the casinos are often in a hurry to hit it big. case in point...Sunday, after I left the basic Riding skills meet, I was running south on 32...
I just passed under the connector and was approaching the light in the left lane. A car which came off the connector southbound, dove across the right lane, my lane in front of me, into the left turn lane, made the u-turn and shot up the northbound connector. needless to say as I caught the car in my peripheral I applied the brakes. Was this a "Damn we missed the southbound exit at 2A" run?
So, if you are anywhere within the influence of any exits, entrances, or turns near a casino which may take a person there or correct a mistake to take a person there, Stay alert. make sure you can get where you want to be.
