Let's see, Christopher Columbus learned his trade and received his charts in Portugal

Fernao de Magalhaes (Magellon) instituted the first circumnavigation of the earth.

And then of course there is Portuguese Sweet bread

and Linguica

and Kale soup

and Chourico 

and Alheira

and Botillo

and Embutido

and Paio

and Farinheira

So you see, without Portugal we would never had any of these great things

Or for that matter, any of these....

And let's face it, without the Man 'O War..

You couldn't have any of this...
