For all you Star Motorcycle fans out there

Star being the Cruiser / Touring side of Yamaha Motorsports, the 2016 field is a tad Model narrower than it was 8 years ago.  Back in 2008 you had the V-Star 1100 Classic, V-Star 1100 Custom,  Road Star, Road Star S,  Road Star Silverado, Road Star Silverado S, Road Star Warrior, V-Star 650 in Classic and Custom, Stratoliner,  Stratoliner Deluxe, Startoliner S, Roadliner, Roadliner S, and of course the Raider and the V-Max.

08 was if memory serves me correctly the last year of the Royal Star Venture and Venture S, the four Cylinder V powered touring bike that was probably one of the smoothest riding and best handling of the Metric Cruisers at that time. It just didn't catch on, pertly because Honda and Harley had such a grip on the Touring line, Yamaha didn't really advertise it as well as they should have, and there was a big push at that time by the consumer to find a bike with that Harley Look, a reasonable Harley-ish sound but for half the price, to the V Twins were the big movers.

The V-Max is now listed as Sport Heritage along with the Bolt C Spec, and XSR900.

This years cruiser / Touring line up is as follows:

1300 Star Deluxe

 1300 Tourer

The Bolt

The Bolt R

The RAIDER

The STRYKER

The Stryker Bullet Cowl

The 650

The 250

As for the afore mentioned Sport Heritage models in 2016 :

The VMAX

The Bolt C

The SR400
 XSR900
Of course this is the Cruiser/ Touring line up, Yamaha still has the Dirt, Sport, Adventurer Touring / Dual Sport, Supersport, Supersport Touring lines of motorcycles.
