What happened to taste and design?

BMW built some of the most beautiful bikes ever, Almost sexy flowing lines

Then, functionality stepped in, and sleek...left

Now?

If you base your choice of a bike partially on looks, then It really doesn't matter what company you go with, they all look pretty much the same.

It just a shame, that where we once had the iconic beauty of classic bikes, like those shown at the top of the page, we now have these...

I suppose there may be some beauty involved, but finding it may require that your favorite toy as a child, was a T bevel or a Rafter Square.
