I got the word back on Charlene

The squeal from the rear means Harley has to remove the rear wheel and the rear pulley, the teeth on the pulley are rounded.

The isolator is also showing signs of damage and needs replacing, this, they will do when they have the wheel off.

The drive belt is damaged and it too needs replacing and this is where the bill starts to build.

 To replace the the belt the entire primary drive unit has to be removed.

The belt and new front pulley can then be installed and the unit placed back together. It takes a week for the parts to be ordered which means they should be there a week from Tuesday. Then the bike will go on the lift and the job done.  The estimate right now stands at $1200.00 parts and labor.
