It's usually not a good sign

If you find yourself waiting to get onto an on ramp, and the people already on the on ramp aren't moving, it's a pretty good sign that your trip home may take a little longer than expected.

Then as you get to the highway you merge with two other entering ramps, plus three lanes of bumper to bumper traffic all trying to get to the right into your lane because there is a sign saying Accident ahead - left lanes closed. 

You inch your way along up onto the bridge approach, around the bend in the bridge and find the same thing everyone else finds, nothing. the accident is long gone, the sign is still moving people over and all for no reason. Perhaps if the State is going to use the signs, which by the way do help, either someone should tell the key punch operator when the incident is over or the key punch operator shouldn't go out for coffee.
