Kamp Dog in New London has an photo on their on-line menu that isn't mentioned and/or named.
We asked, because it looks like it may be good. Kenny, the proprietor said, we we asked, "They didn't sell".
He gave us the recipe and while the photo looks like it might be tasty, I can see why they didn't sell.
It is ham and sausage deep fried, allowed to cool, then dropped in pancake batter and deep fried again.
Pancake batter? Pancakes use pancake batter which is why they pretty much suck.
I can fix this thing, follow the instructions above, except once the meat cools, wrap the meat in cheese, drop it in regular batter that you would use for fish or shrimp, a light crispy batter, not thick and bready. re-deep fry it, serve it with an Asian sweet pepper dip and serve it other than at breakfast.
Crunchy flaky cheese meat.
