Those days where everything, everything is in your way. I had one of those yesterday, walk down a four foot wide aisle and still knock something off a shelf that was sticking out maybe an inch. Sweep up the kitchen floor, go to feed the cat and knock over the bag of dry food, spooof, a giant Vee pattern across the kitchen floor and down the hall. My last run-in happened about 9:30 last night.
Nat and I spent the evening going through books and collected material of my parents. Sorting out what is to be kept, what is to be kept then given away, and what was to be tossed. We threw out a load of books, I found in the past that book buyers do not buy books from Book Clubs, they consider them garbage, So we tossed quite a few away.
We moved toys and nick-nacks along with glasswear and music boxes. I handed Nat a tall glass storage jar with a glass lid which she set aside on a table. I walked to the kitchen to get something, as I turned around I caught the item with my arm. I watched the shaped glass top fly forward past me and bounce down the kitchen floor. I yelled out, "Hey, Not broken!!"
A split second later there was an explosion of glass fragments as the canister the top fit, hit the floor, I added, "Broken!!!"
The break/no break incident proved one thing, Thin glassware does not mind flying and bouncing along a padded linoleum floor. hardwood floors...another story.
