One of my employees passed away

He was only 33 years old, he had two children, a boy and a girl. It was instantaneous and totally unexpected. he had just processed his IRS return and was awaiting a refund. It wasn't a painful death, as a matter of fact he didn't even know he died, He received the information in an E-mail. The IRS told him his Social Security number was locked because that person had been listed as deceased.

Of course if he was paying this year I'm sure there would have been a more formal investigation. As it is I found him a shirt on line. I mean if you are dead but won't lie down...there's only one conclusion.... He's a Zombie, one of the walking dead.

The Social Security people have suggested that by their records he is very much alive. So his next stop is the IRS. he has to go there where they will look at all his documents and then pinch him to make sure he is alive.
