Think about it...

These people and this equipment...

Dug out Rocks and dirt, cut down trees, blasted through ledges and hills and mountains...

They crossed rivers, lakes, ponds and swamps...

They shoveled stone and dirt, leveled the ground, tamped it, graded it and filled in areas.

They worked through all the seasons, in rain, snow and ice, extreme heat, biting and stinging insects, 

They watered the dirt, put down concrete and asphalt....

Lots of back breaking work, in hard to get to places, hanging off cliffs and mountain sides, in crevices and off ledges, working to complete a road system...

All this they accomplished so you could do this, 

Or pull up on the side of the road somewhere, get off your bike or out of your car and say, "Ooooo, pretty". All that work they performed so that you could drive from here to there and back and think You actually Accomplished something.
