Twas in Buena Vista Virginia. It was real Meat, It was Big, it was excellent, (I am not really a fast food fan), But this burger rated as a restaurant burger, a diner burger, a hey we use real meat burger. The veggies were fresh, and the bun fresh. It was the first time ever, that what I received in the wrap actually looked like the promo photo. I would eat there again in a heart beat.
Now, let's head a little bit west...across West Virginia to Marietta Ohio, where, I tried my first ever....Long John Silvers. Cod Fish and Alaskan Pollock according to their nutrition website. Perhaps it's just because I grew up in New England where Fish and chips was Cod, Haddock, or Flounder usually large fish portions, but I found LJS to be...inedible. Perhaps it was just the one store, but what a waste of time and money.
What ever happened to Arthur Treachers? Well He died, I know, Th franchise was bought out,Mrs.Paul Seafood bought it, changed the COD to Pollock and it was all downhill from there.
I hear there are a few left, from a giant 800 plus franchise system to a couple in New York one in Ohio, PA and maybe Jersey.
