In 1987  Microsoft introduces Windows and it's shares hit $100.00 each

Most systems operate on MS DOS 3.0 and the Tandy 1000 was the most popular PC

A Cell phone looked like this

A Car Phone

 And New London Looked like this

A veritable Transportation hub of shipping, trucking, and railroads.

The home town freight railroad was the Central Vermont (Seen above switching the State Pier building).

That State Pier building is gone, the houses in the bottom left are gone, the tower is gone, and the railroad is just about gone. An occasional yet rare appearance. All those building out in distance on the point are Gone (Coast Guard and Naval Sound Lab) as is most of those buildings in the distance on the other side of the river in Groton (Pfizer).

One year shy of thirty years,
