At one time (back in the 80's) the parties were not by dealership, but corporate. All the Dealerships and other businesses (which will will not identify at this time), attended the event.
The parties were historically held at the Armory on Bayonet street in New London. The last one they held was the best Christmas party ever held in the history of Christmas parties.
The band was great, the food was fantastic, with two steamship rounds and a ton of other tasty morsels to ingest, nibble, and totally devour.
There were three fist fights, one of which, and the best one, was between two members of the (then considered) weaker sex. The fight was over a former boyfriend neither was involved with anymore, (Cats have long memories when one steals a target from another).
There was a rather large volume of discharged food and drink on the men's room floor, so much so there was no way to get to any of the rooms conveniences without slipping your way to one.
Then there was the mix up of sable coats, and the stolen sable coat, which lead to the participation in the party of the City Police Department, which in turn lead to the missing, (as in stolen) City Police car.
The Party was a hallmark of parties, and because of that Great time, corporate never again held a full employee Christmas Party. Each franchise from that time on, holds its own event.
