What? Why? Are we in England?
You could dry it and put it in pills. You could stir-fry it with onions. You could even eat it raw in the delivery room.
Don't faint! The act of eating the placenta after you give birth, called placentophagy, isn't just something animals do. Human moms do it, too, including tribal women and glamorous celebrities. You may be wondering whether you should as well.
To be consumed as soon as possible after birth of placenta. The smoothie is made of 3-4 pieces of fresh placenta (the rest can be prepared into capsules or other remedies), a handful of fresh organic berries of choice, 1 whole banana and water. Simple and delicious…One woman stated, "I had two after birth and I promise…you really can’t taste the placenta!"WHAT? Why?
- Helps stop post partum haemorrhaging and trigger the body to quickly heal internal wounds
- Significantly reduces blood loss
- Gives the body an immediate supply of essential vitamins and nutrients
- Provides the body with an immediate boost of hormones to begin healing the body after birth
- Gives the mother an immediate feeling of strength and balance
- Most mothers who have the smoothie report milk ‘comes in’ at day 2 post-partum rather than3-4 days post-partum
- Eases the hormonal transition to post-partum and helps prevent the ‘baby blues’ around thetime when milk engorges the breasts
If you find the thought of drinking something like this disgusting...fear NOT..
