What a morning!!!

I decided to take Jenny out for a ride, I threw on my boots, vest, cut off gloves and shades, backed Jenny out of the shed and hit the road, it was great, the early morning air had that fresh clean smell, the air rushing by, the pavement beneath the wheels. I headed down the hill and out into the country, trees flew past, the bike banked into the corners, cruised over the hills and down through valleys, an occasional farm would pop up as I cleared a forest area and disappear behind me as the road continued on. My mind was set free, racing through all existence, a freedom of spirit only a biker can know. My home, my job, my life, all were gone as the world sped past, a symphony of life surrounded me, the exhaust note, the tires on the pavement, the birds singing, the constant beeping, the wind whipping past, the beeping, the world was mine, free, a sound like a truck backing up, the beeping.

I rolled over, turned off the annoying alarm clock with it's incessant beeping, dropped my legs off the bed and sat up, a look out the window through the curtains revealed the snow is still falling, the world is blanketed in white, and I have to go to work.

The morning commute on a highway where people are afraid to drive in this white hell, I crawl along. Eight and a half hours in a concrete building staring at computers screens await me, then it will be the ride home and clearing the walkway and driveway...

I can't wait to get back to bed.
