I grew up in Brooklyn but not in Gravesend. There was a drive-in called the Bow-Wow in Rockaway that did a roast beef sandwich like this and I've longed for it ever since they closed back in the 80's. This place (Brennan and Carr's) looks like heaven. I will seriously join you on this road trip.
