It is amazing how technology keeps changing
Almost everything that comes into the shop nowadays has something more technologically advanced from the previous model.
Most work today requires diag, electronic diag. The cars used to require giant wheeled diag machines, then Computer columns, then lap tops to be downloaded and sent, followed by direct wifi link to the manufacturer.
Things change so fast it's often difficult to determine where the interface point on a vehicle is....
I watched the techs walk around this car for an hour trying to figure out where to plug the stuff in and get fault codes.
